Performance
I have been developing this system since 2020 and have been continuously improving it. The continuous improvement will never stop as many of the variables are fine tuned and new ones added. The system is a complex array on both the portfolio selection side and the porfolio management side. Due to the nature of the system, there are only 3 or 4 opportunities to incoporate these changes per year, but with each change my results have improved.
Here is a screenshot taken from my investment institution's site, Bank of Montreal Investorline, at the end of the first quarter, 2024 (Jan 1 - Mar 31, 2024):
My current portfolio is reflected in the top row of the table and the dark blue bar in the chart. At the end of the first quarter 2024, I am at 21.97%, while the next closest benchmark comparison is the S&P 500 at 13.26%. This represents a 67% advantage over the S&P 500.
One portion of my investment system is focused on the NASDAQ Index. The following chart as of April 5, 2024 compares that part of the system and is now at 21.3% since January 1, 2024, while the NASDAQ is at 9.92%.
QQQ is an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) with holdings of the major NASDAQ Index companies, mostly technology companies. My selection above is based on an aggressive investment profile aimed at high growth. Based on your goals, we will created a balance within your limits of time and risk.
You might ask "How does Beat The Street compare to other Hedge Funds?". Great question! Mind you, I have only been incorporated since Dec 2022 and fully active effective January 1, 2024 but I am continually improving my systems and this will never stop. So far I am outperforming the Barclays Hedge Fund Index of 1179 funds as at the end of the first quarter 2024:
You can see that, Year To Date, Beat The Street is delivering almost 4 times the performance of these funds.
You may also say "Ya but what about the top Hedge Funds?". Also a great question! Here is a listing of the Top 20 Best Performing Hedge Funds as at the end of 2023:
These are the Top 8 Hedge Funds at the end of 2023. The best of the best is averaging 41.85% over the past 3 years, while number 8 is averaging 27.35%. It's still early, but if I continue the current performance for the balance of 2024, I should end up with about a 64.5% gain, Top of the Heap. But I can't promise that obviously. I do believe I will be amongst the top, nonetheless.
You might also say "Ya, but everyone is doing well this year!". Another great point! However some are doing more great than others.
